User's Guide - Register
Getting registered is the first thing you will need to do before you can place any ads using your User Control Panel. When you click on the Register located at the top of the screen, you will see a short form similiar to this:
Your Username is case sensitive, so "secret" and "Secret" are considered to be different. The Username will appear whenever you submit any listing on our website and is used by other users to contact you about that listing. It will often be seen as "Submitted by..." or "Posted on...", so be careful that the username you choose is a name that you want the public to see and is suitable for family viewing. You can use the name of your business as a Username and it will appear on every listing you make which is another way to help advertise your business. If your business is part of a chain of businesses with the same name, then you can add your zip code or phone number after it, for example: Scraboku-89406 or Scraboku-775-123-4567.
Please don't use any profanity word as a username.
Remember, this is a family friendly website!
As with your Username, your Password is also case sensitive and is seen ONLY by you. Not even the owner of this website knows what password you chose. So be sure to write it down some place for safe keeping. Should you happen to forget your password, click on the Login and then go to the "Forgot your password? Click here." as seen circled in this image:
From there, you will be taken to a Password retrieval page which is where you will enter the E-mail address that you used to create your account. Then an E-mail will be sent to you with instructions on how to change your password. This is all for security purposes.
This will be seen in such places as the Auctions when someone buys what you are auctioning. So this really does need to be your actual Real Name, not some fictional name.
You must have a valid email address to participate on this website. After you register, you will need to check your email for instructions on activating your account. You will not be able to login until you have clicked the verification URL within this email we have sent you. If you can't locate this email, please check your spam/deleted folders or contact us for assistance.
The Avatar is optional and is seen in the forums, so if you want to add an Avatar, it can be:
Your business logo...This business logo can also be seen in our forums, which does allow HTML coding. This means you can add a link back to your business listing.
A picture of yourself...Fully clothed and suitable for family viewing
Something simple...Butterfly, Horse, Flower, etc.
PLEASE don't use anything that is vulgar, has nudity/pornographic, hateful, satanic or racist!!! Any of that is unacceptable and could get you suspended from our webstie.
Security Identifier Word/Number (for Contacting Us)
This is used when you contact us about changing your Username or Email address. We will use it to verify that you are the owner of that account, so that those changes can be made. It is not necessary to put anything in there the first time, but you will need to put something in there when contacting us concerning your Username or Email address. If you want to, you can use a Scraboku Code of your initials. You can change it whenever you deem necessary.
After you finish filling in the registration form and clicking on the Register button, the one next to the Cancel button, then you will see a page like this:
Now you go to your email and follow the activation instructions. After doing so, then you will see this screen:
Now you can click on the Login located at the top of the screen and then you will be able to see your User Control Panel that looks similiar to this and you can start making all of your various listings:
