User's Guide - Coupons
This is where you can view all active Coupons associated with your username and create new coupons. In order to add a Coupon, you will need to login to your User Control Panel and click on the Coupons icon that is circled in this image:
The first time you click on the Coupons icon, without first creating a business listing, you will see a page like this:
Notice that it has an important message that reads:
"Please note: You must already have a business listed in our Business Directory in order to add coupons. If you do not have a business listed, list yours today!"
If you choose to click on the " Click here to purchase coupon credits" now, before making a listing, because you want to purchase some coupon credits by themselves, because you don't want to add a business listing to our business directory, then when you get to the coupon form you will see a screen like this (minus the arrow):
Notice what it says below the arrow? Now you will see the importance of making a business listing before trying to do a coupon. The coupon must have that business listing so that it can add the contact information from your business listing to the coupon. It is for this very reason that we give you the option to have a "Free Listing" so that you will be able to make a coupon.
Note: The "Basic Listing with URL Link" is very affordable at only $12.00 a year and it offers you more than a "Free Lising".
If you chose to make a "Free Listing" or a "Basic Listing with URL Link" you will need to click on the " Click here to purchase coupon credits." Then you will see a screen like this, where you can purchase the number of coupons that you need:
Now that we have covered the importance of having a business listing in our directory, the contact information that you put in your business listing will be automatically be added to your coupon so your customers will know where and how to use the coupon.
Note about choices: With a "Free Listing" or a "Basic Listing with URL Link" you will need to purchase your coupons as shown in this graphic:
Now compare that with buying a "Super Savings Business Listing" or a "Restaurant Business Listing". This is where you will automatically receive 10 FREE coupons every time you renew your listing. Either one you choose is only $10.00 a month or you can choose to save $20.00 by doing the yearly plan, which will give you 2 months FREE. The other thing about these two packages is you willl be able to start making coupons right away, as shown in this graphic:
Now you will see how the coupons work in conjunction with the business directory. When you are in the area where you create a coupon, you will see it has a drop down box for you to choose which business listing you want to make the coupon. (Note: Your business listing and coupons must be approved, before any of your coupons will be active.
Now you will be able to start creating your coupon. Remember, each coupon credit is good for one month. So if you bought 15 coupon credits, you can either run a single coupon for 15 months or you can have several different coupons running at the same time or you can split the credits any way you want among your various coupons.
Now can click on the "Create a coupon" and you will see a short form that looks like this:
Now let's talk about each part of the Coupon creator:
Notice the question mark icon next to the "For Business". When you click on it, you see this:
If you don't see your business listed, please check to make sure that you have paid for your business listing first. If you already paid for it and are still have troubles, please contact us for assistance.
You will need to be specific in your coupon description and in the value of the coupon and what exactly is the coupon's purpose. We recommend you type out what you want to say in a NotePad or WordPad before putting it in the description box.
There are many different ways to do the graphic that you upload for your coupon.These are some examples of the types of graphics you could use on your coupon to make it more interesting:
Your business logo
Graphic relating to the coupon, such a food item, clothing, sports, etc.
Or even a "Puzzle Game" like this example:
In this drop down box, you will see the number of coupon credits you purchased, so you can choose how long you want that coupon to display on our website for your business:
This is the expiration date for how long the coupon will be valid and it will be printed on the coupon. However, if you don't want a date on your coupon, just put a checkmark the "No expiration" box.
When you are finished entering the coupon details, click the Create Coupon button. Your coupon will need to be approved before being seen by the public. You can view the status of all coupons by returning to the Coupon Management area in the User Control Panel. If it has not yet been approved, it's status will be displayed as Disabled. Once approved, it's status will display as Enabled. You should also receive an email upon coupon approval.
Once your coupons are approved, then you will also see them as part of your business listing as shown circled in this image:
When you click on it, you will notice it has two ways to view the coupon. You can either click on the (see more) or on the magnifying glass under the "Details". You can also click on the little "Printer Icon" to see the coupon before it is printed. Also, notice that at the bottom of the print screen, it says, "Compliments of FallonFun.com". This is also a way for you to help others learn about this great service and advertise your business on our website. You will see all of that when you create your very own coupon.
