One of the things that we did every year was send out a Christmas Letter to all of our for family and friends, to let them know about the latest developments and what we have been doing. Some have told us that, that letter was something that they always treasured and looked forward to reading, because it would also contain something funny too and that made them feel better. So I would like to share our last year's Christmas letter with you so that it can help everybody feel better and maybe even put a smile on that lovely face. Plus, I can add the links so you can check them out for yourself. The other thing I can do is correct any typing errors that you may have seen in what was sent.
Dear Family and Friends,
Just wanted to give you an update on how things are going. As with many of you, we have our good and bad things too. The worse thing that happened is that we lost our little Rozzie. He was a pure-bred Yorkie. He was only 10, but he was starting to have some health issues. We thought the medicines were working, but alas on August 3, he went away. We never got full closure of whether he was taken by a human or a coyote or maybe even a bird of prey. He wasn't any bigger than a rabbit. So to all of you who have small dogs, be careful! Love than while you can. We did have several dreams that he was safe in heaven and that made us feel a whole better. So thank you Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for that special gift and blessing ours lives with the sweetest little dog you could ever ask for.
On the brighter side of life, my sister Brenda is having a grand and glorious time with her college education studying to become a legal transcriptionist. She has also taken up learning how to become a medical transcriptionist. She often drives me a bit batty with all the terminology and really long words like "Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis" which is a lung disease caused by the inhalation of very fine sand and ash dust. I mean goof grief that is just too ridiculously long. Shorter, but still annoying words like "electrocardiogram" also called an EKG or ECG, is a simple, painless test that records the heart's electrical activity...is more the normal length of words. Well, like it says in the 13th Article of Faith "...We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things" ...this for me, includes my sister's education.
Mom is doing fine. She enjoys watching her TV shows like Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie, Waltons, Big Valley and a whole bunch of westerns. She often still has dreams when she is sleeping of washing windows, driving truck, or cleaning something and then she wakes up really tired. That's when we say, "Oh Momma, you just work too hard!" Where upon she gives a good laugh. She still has an amazing sense of humor and delights in playing a joke on somebody. Like one day, when Lisa our garegiver was taking care of her and clipping her toenails and mom said, "I hate halitosis!" Well, Lisa either didn't know what halitosis was or didn't fully hear her, but she thought for sure she did something to mom's toes...Hal o' toes us! They got a good laugh about that.
As for me, well, I have been working on my websites. I started out with just CTRclubhouse.com which has a bunch of really fun games. Then I remember, a dear friend of mine and how she wanted to build a city website. She wanted to build something really super for a lot of businesses to advertise their service in a more affordable manner. Well, I have done just that with CTReveryday.com. As many of you know CTR stands for "Choose The Right", but as we all know letters starts words, so I decided show how CTR can stand for other things like "Call The Repairman" and "Calmoseptine Treats Rashes" just to name only a few. I did a business listing with a 25 picture slide show of my favorite CTR rings and called the business listing CTR Testimony. You can go there directly by going to CTRtestimony.com. As I was working on CTReveryday.com, I started realizing that a lot of people who are not Latter-day Saints would also enjoy this service, so I started building Enjoy-the-USA.com. The URL address without the dashes was already taken, so that is why I had to get it with the dashes.1 I have another URL address that just forwards to Enjoy-the-USA.com and that is ILoveAmerica.biz. That takes care of the dashes and at the same time says what I need it to say...I Love America's Businesses. All three interact with each other very nicely.
The other fun thing that I have going on is a really fun game that combines the first five letters of Scrabble and the last three letters of Sudoku. You can learn all about it at Scraboku.com. It is a really hoot!
We have lot of services available on CTReveryday.com and Enjoy-the-USA.com besides just Business Listings. They also have Adopt a Pet, Announcemens, Articles by You, Auctions, Auto Sales, Banners & Ad Zones, Calendar of Events, Classified Ads, Coupons, Find a Friend or Penpal, Forums, Garage/Yard Sales, Guestbook Comments, Job Directory, Lost & Found Pets, Obituaries, Photo Contest, Price Lists for Business Listings, Private Messaging, Real Estate Listings, Restaurant Menus for Restaurant Owners, Suggest Corner, Volunteer Guide and lots of really interesting News Across America, plus a Wedding Guide.2
It has been quite a project and I am finally ready for people to signup and be part of the fun. Check it out and help me spread the word. Well, that's about all for now. We hope you and your family and friends have an Wonderful Merry Christmas and a successful New Year!
With all our love,
Delphy, Laurie and Brenda Bendickson
